Iconic since its inception, the world-famous Big Mac™ first hit the market in 1967 somewhere in Pittsburgh. Nowadays, when it comes to food, it is one of the few words (two) that sound equally delicious in all languages. For that, perhaps we need to thank 21-year-old Esther Glickstein Rose, an advertising assistant at McDonald’s headquarters at the time. The previous two names of the emblematic burger were “The Aristocrat” and “Blue Ribbon Burger”. Quite a stretch for everyone’s favorite Big Mac™. 55 years later, its unique taste continues to fascinate even its biggest fans, who discover something new in it again and again with every bite.
